Weight does matter
Each and every EverGreen has the actual weight clearly posted for that trailer on the inside of the
wardrobe cabinets of the bedroom. This large label lists the unloaded vehicle weight of that particular
coach with the VIN number. The label also lists all of the components of the particular trailer with the
serial number of each component or appliance. EverGreen believes it’s important that the consumer
knows the actual weight of the trailer. At EverGreen, the weight of the trailer is an asset, not a liability.
The majority of the industry builds a base unit for each model with no options, weighs that unit, and
posts that weight as the official weight. Once all the options are added to the trailer, the consumer
may find the weight of the trailer 500 to 700 pounds over.
Because Ever-Lite™ trailers are 1,000 to 1,200 pounds lighter they take less energy and fuel to tow. The Department of Energy estimates that every 1,000 pounds trimmed from a vehicle increases fuel efficiency by seven percent.
